West Bay Hills Phase II
Many of you already know about our West Bay Hills development. After the seven plots in the first phase had found nice new owners within a very short time, we were asked again and again whether there would be more plots in this development. We have now succeeded in developing 14 more plots in the second phase. The West Bay Hills development is located, as the name suggests, in the small community of West Bay at the south-western end of beautiful Bras d’Or Lake. Since part of the area was cleared a few years ago, there is an indescribable sweeping view of the surrounding area and the mountains of Marble Mountain opposite from much of the property. Since the development slopes gently, you even have a dreamlike view of Bras d’Or Lake in parts. Those who know us know that we love this area!
The properties...
The 14 properties of the second phase in our West Bay Hills development range in size from around 2.2 acres to almost 3.5 acres metres and thus offer plenty of space and privacy. Some of the land was cleared a few years ago, but a young and very healthy mixed forest is already growing back. The original forest consists of conifers, maple and birch trees and you can always see large, strong pine trees, which bald eagles like to use as viewing spots.
Another special feature is an idyllic valley with a stream, which is located on Lot 10 and runs directly along the border to Lot 9 – an absolute adventure property! As usual with us, all lots have been surveyed by a certified land surveyor and are planned and approved in such a way that we can guarantee building – although there is no obligation to build.
The surroundings...
Around the famous Bras d’Or Lake (UNESCO Biosphere Reserve) there are countless public beaches. The nearest beach can be reached from the West Bay Hills development in just 2-3 minutes. It’s a great place to go for a swim or even launch your boat and spend the day on the lake. In only 20 minutes you can reach the well-known beach “Marble Mountain Beach”, which is simply impressive with its white glittering beach and the turquoise crystal clear water. Those who like to be more active can rent a kayak or a pedal boat at the Dundee Resort, which is only 5 minutes away, or play a round of golf at the associated golf club. At the Dundee Resort you can not only enjoy a delicious meal but also spend the evening in the pub with live music.
The infrastructure...
We always place great emphasis on proximity to infrastructure in our developments. From West Bay Hills, you can reach the next larger town of Port Hawkesbury in about 20 minutes. There you can get everything you need for daily life. There are two schools, supermarkets, restaurants, workshops, a DIY store, etc.. But there is also plenty to do. There is a gym as well as a swimming pool, an ice skating rink, tennis courts, beautiful hiking trails and much more. Of course, children are also well catered for. In addition to a great playground, there is a water playground, basketball courts, a BMX track, etc. in the summer.
